Externally and internally finned tubes with forced vortex flow of fluid inside the tube may be achieved by combined extrusion of thick walled tubes with longitudinal internal finning and controlled slant rolling process in a three roller system. Expansion of internal tube surface by forming internal fins with a spiral orientation considerably improves thermal efficiency of finned tubes. Multi-channel expansion system of finned tube internal surfaces results in 40 to 110% increase of tube thermal efficiency in comparison with finned tubes smooth on the inside. Increase of externally and internally finned tube thermal efficiency is significant for high viscosity fluids (such as hydraulic or transformer oils, etc.). Application of aluminium monometallic externally and internally finned tubes replacing conventional heat exchangers with copper alloy tubes ensures enormous cost decrease of material. This reduction of costs results from decrease of heat exchanger weight and considerable increase of thermal efficiency as a result of internal spiral finning of tubes.
